QR Safe Additional Terms of Use

Effective Date: Nov 05 2025

These Additional Terms of Use (“Additional Terms”) govern your use of the “QR Safe” service (the “Service”).

These Additional Terms supplement the Master Terms of Service for linkpreview.ai (the “Master Terms”). By using the QR Safe Service, you agree to both the Master Terms and these Additional Terms. In the event of any conflict between these Additional Terms and the Master Terms, these Additional Terms will control with respect to your use of the QR Safe Service.

1. Acceptable Use Policy (Prohibited Content)

You agree not to use the Service to create, display, or distribute QR codes that link to, or contain:

We reserve the right to remove or disable access to any content for any reason, particularly for violations of this policy.

2. Abuse Reporting and Enforcement

2.1 How to Report Abuse

We take abuse seriously. Anyone can report a violation of these terms.

In either case, to complete the report, you must add a brief reason explaining why the content is believed to be illicit or in violation of our terms.

2.2 Policy on Password-Protected Content

If we receive a report for content that is password-protected (as described in section 2.1), and the report does not include the password for verification, we reserve the right to disable (ban) access to that content based on the report alone.

We will assume the report is made in good faith in order to protect our platform. The responsibility to prove the content’s legitimacy and initiate a dispute rests solely with the content’s creator.

3. Contestation Procedure (Counter-Notice for Creators)

We acknowledge that the Service is anonymous. We do not collect your email or any personal data at the time of creation. This makes contesting a ban more complex, but not impossible.

3.1 Your “Management Link”

Upon creating a QR code, the Service generates a unique and secret “Management Link”. This link is displayed to you only once.

It is your sole responsibility to save this link. It is the only proof that you are the creator of the content. If you lose this link, you permanently lose the ability to manage or contest a ban related to that QR code.

3.2 How to Contest a Ban

If your QR code has been disabled (banned), you can only contest the decision by visiting your secret “Management Link”. On that page, you will find an option to “Contest the Ban”, which will allow you to submit a statement.

3.3 Our Review

Our team will review your contestation. If the original report is found to be baseless, or if the content (once verified) is found to be in compliance with our terms, the ban will be reversed, and access to your QR code will be restored.

We respect the intellectual property rights of others and expect our users to do the same.

4.1 Copyright Takedown Notice

To facilitate a rapid resolution of copyright claims, we have adopted a “notice and takedown” procedure (similar to the U.S. DMCA). If you are a copyright owner (or an agent authorized to act on their behalf) and believe that content hosted on our Service infringes your rights, you may submit a notification to our designated legal contact: legal@linkpreview.ai.

Your notification must be in writing and include the following:

  1. An identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
  2. The exact URL of the QR code hosting the infringing material.
  3. Your contact information (name, address, email address, and telephone number).
  4. A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  5. A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.

If we receive a valid and complete notice, we will proceed to disable (ban) access to the allegedly infringing content.

4.2 Compliance with Legal Orders (AGCOM)

As a service provider based in Italy, we are subject to the Italian “Regulation on the protection of copyright on electronic communications networks” (AGCOM Delibera n. 680/13/CONS and subsequent amendments).

We will fully cooperate with the Italian Communications Authority (AGCOM) and other competent judicial authorities. Should we receive a formal order from a competent authority to remove or disable access to content, we will comply with such an order without undue delay.

4.3 Counter-Notice (Contestation)

If you are the creator of a QR code that was disabled as a result of a copyright notice and you believe this was a mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notice using the Contestation Procedure detailed in Section 3 of these Additional Terms (i.e., by using your secret “Management Link”).
